20th Anniversary Celebration- and you are invited.

Please join us on Sunday, June 7th to celebrate our 20th Anniversary.  We will be serving great food including Pit Beef, Hot Dogs, Cotton Candy , Popcorn, and Desserts.  The music of the Ragtime Boys will keep you dancing.  Also, we will have plenty of activities for people of all ages including caricatures, balloon animals, and a magician.  The party will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, so bring your whole family and your friends for this afternoon of fun.

Come Celebrate With Us

This year’s Holiday Open House will be taking place on Sunday, December 7th from 2pm- 4pm.  As usual, it should be a fun-filled extravaganza with the Gentlemen of Jazz providing the music, festive food, and of course, Rose’s special desserts.  All are welcome to come and celebrate this wonderful season with all of at Rock Spring Village.

Often imitated, Never duplicated

Today, our Out-to-Lunch Bunch headed over to Box Hill Pizza. They are well known throughout the community for their famous crab cakes. Now their crab cakes are even available for shipping via their website. All but two of us ordered these famous local treasures, and everyone, without exception, enjoyed this feast. Special thanks to our host, Don Jeffries, for making our trip especially enjoyable.

With full bellies, we headed back to the Village just in time for an afternoon of Karaoke.

Make Herr’s, Yours

On Wednesday, February 27th, a group of us went north to the Herr’s Snacks Factory in Nottingham, PA. Our tour began with an informative video explaining the history of this local operation. Then, we were off to visit the production line. We witnessed the potatoes at their point of delivery all the way through their preparation for shipping. We watched Cheese Curls, Pretzels and various flavors of Potato Chips roll through the assembly lines and into their customized packages. Our tour concluded with warm, FRESH potato chips.

Then, we were off to lunch. Heading north toward Oxford, Chrissy drove us to Pat’s Pizzeria where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Burgers, subs, sandwiches and pizza were polished off by a fresh serving of rice pudding, compliments of the owner.

All in all, it was one fun-filled excursion.

The Holiday Season is Here…

Our Annual Holiday Open House was held on December 9th. Thanks to everybody who attended and added to this spectacular event.

We are decorated for Christmas with many trees throughout the Village. On your next visit, take some extra time to visit all of the different hallways to see the various trees and common areas that have been uniquely decorated.

Our residents have been busy crafting ornaments for this special season, and singing along with many performance troupes playing the old favorite Christmas tunes and hymns.

Christmas is definitely in the air. From all of the staff and residents of Rock Spring Village- We Wish You a Very Merry Christmas and a New Year Filled with Peace.
